Oasis Resort

Oasis Resort has rooms with a fan or with air conditioning, offering double, queen and single bed set-ups. Some rooms measure 24 or 30 m2, and some sleep up to five guests, so there is room for couples as well as small groups.

Depending on the room, you may find a private bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer, satellite and cable channels, free bottled water or a telephone, and in some rooms free Wi-Fi.

The resort has a garden, restaurants, room service and a 24-hour front desk. Guests can also use bicycle rental, tours, ticket services and luggage storage, and the resort has daily housekeeping, dry cleaning, laundry service and a convenience store.

Oasis Resort sits in Paknam, within Krabi Town, the provincial capital on Thailand's Andaman coast. The area is a practical base for travellers who want to stay in the town itself rather than on a beach, with markets, small museums and a few temples close by. Life here follows the rhythm of the town, and in the evenings the night markets open and the streets fill with food stalls, while boats leave from the piers nearby.

The Krabi Weekend Night Market is 1.3 km away, and the Andaman Museum is close by, so an evening in town is easy to combine with a stay here. Further afield, Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple reached by a long stairway, is 6.2 km away. Railay Beach, 10 km away, is reached by longtail boat from Ao Nang and is known for its limestone cliffs. Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), a natural pool in the forest, is 43 km away, and the Andaman Cultural Center and the Contemporary Art Museum of Krabi are also close by.

A day could take in Railay, or the islands of Poda and Tup, which lie offshore from Krabi and are reached by boat. Krabi International Airport is 8.7 km from the resort, and the piers for the island boats are closer still, so the sea is an easy part of any stay in the town.
