Bang Tao Beach is 1.6 km away, a long sandy shore lined with resorts and small restaurants, and the Bang-Tao Night Market, 1.5 km away, is the place for street food in the evening. Surin Beach is 1.9 km away too. Patong Beach, at 7.5 km, is Phuket's busiest beach, with Bangla Road and its nightlife close to it, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) is one of the island's most important Buddhist temples.

A full day could start with a visit to the Big Buddha, the large white statue on a hilltop above the island, and continue to Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) in the afternoon.
