Niwas Ayutthaya

All rooms at Niwas Ayutthaya have air conditioning and a private bathroom, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The room types include single, double and twin rooms, a bungalow and a deluxe double room with a patio, and several of them look onto the garden while two have a street view.

Beds are double, queen and single, with twin single beds in two of the rooms. Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam for over four centuries, and its temple ruins belong to the Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many of them are a short distance from the hotel.

Wat Mahathat, 450 m away, is known for its Buddha head set among tree roots. Wat Ratchaburana with its prang and the Thai Boat Museum are close by, while the Chantharakasem National Museum and the Hua Raw Night Market are also nearby. Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is known for its large seated Buddha image, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, once the royal temple within the palace grounds, lies inside the historic park.

The hotel has bicycles on site, and the Ayutthaya Train Station is 1.4 km away for onward rail travel. Don Mueang International Airport is 49.8 km away. The Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village, 2.5 km away, is also a day trip from the old city. A full day could begin at Wat Mahathat, continue at the Chantharakasem National Museum and end at the Hua Raw Night Market.
