The Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 13.9 km away and is one of the island's most revered Buddhist temples. The Big Buddha Phuket sits 16.9 km away on a hilltop, and from there the views reach across the island. The Thalang National Museum is nearby and covers the history of the area.

Patong Beach, 11.5 km away, is the easiest day out for beach life and nightlife, with the shops and bars of Bangla Road in the same area. Phuket International Airport, 18.7 km away, is the nearest airport for arrivals and departures, so the transfer from it is the first part of a stay here. Beyond the beaches and temples, the setting is calm, and the island's main sights are all reached by road, so a car or taxi is useful for a day out.
