New Coconut Bungalow

Every room at New Coconut Bungalow has air conditioning. Several rooms look onto the garden, and a number of them have a private entrance and a balcony or terrace. Some also have a seating area, a shower with toiletries and a refrigerator.

Capacity is up to two or three guests per room, and some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups, so the beds depend on the room you book. Some rooms have a TV with satellite and cable channels, and bottled water is provided in some of them. Children can stay free when they use the existing bedding, but an extra bed carries an additional charge.

New Coconut Bungalow has both an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, and there is a poolside bar. Massage treatments are offered, and the property also has a garden, a library and a shared lounge/TV area. There is an elevator too.

Dining includes a restaurant, a coffee shop, BBQ facilities and room service, and there is also a bar. Diving, fishing and non-motorised water sports are available, and tours and car hire can be arranged. Ticket services and business facilities are also available.

The property is in Baan Klong Khong, a village area of Koh Lanta in Krabi province, in southern Thailand. Koh Lanta is an island in the Andaman Sea, reached from the mainland. Khlong Khong Beach, 50 m away, is the nearest stretch of sand, and the rest of the area is village life, with local houses and small businesses along the road. Both the beach and the village can be reached on foot from the bungalows.

Khlong Top Yai Beach, 1.7 km away, is one of the nearby beaches, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave, 5.8 km away, is a limestone cave on the island. The closest village, Haad Khlong Khong, is part of the same neighbourhood. Lanta Old Town, 8 km away, is the island's historic old town. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 13.2 km away, protects areas of forest and sea.

The last part of the journey to the island is by boat, so plan around the ferry from the mainland. Boat trips to the islands can be affected by rough seas in the rainy months. A day out can combine Khao Mai Kaew Cave with Lanta Old Town, while Mu Ko Lanta National Park makes a separate trip, and tours and car hire can be arranged at the hotel.
