Nang Thong Beach Resort

Air conditioning is fitted in all the rooms at Nang Thong Beach Resort, and every room sleeps up to four guests. The accommodation is a mix of garden-view bungalows and rooms, along with one bungalow that faces the sea. The beach is 50 m from the resort, so the sand is close whichever room you book.

The double room has a bathtub next to its shower, and both bungalows have a balcony or terrace where guests can sit outside. The double and twin rooms overlook the garden, and a baby cot is available on request for the twin room, which has its own garden view.

Nang Thong Beach Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a private beach, with a garden and a terrace for relaxing outside. Khao Lak is a resort coast in Phang Nga province, on the Andaman Sea, and the resort sits in the Khaolak Beach area with the sand close by. The resort is in Takua Pa district, and the coast mixes beach with forested hills just inland. Phuket International Airport is 59.3 km away, so the road from the airport is the first stretch of the trip.

Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 1.8 km away, is a forested park in the hills, and the Ton Chong Fa waterfall lies further inland. The Hat Bang Niang Viewpoint gives a view over the coast, 1.9 km from the resort. The Tsunami Museum documents the 2004 tsunami that struck this coast, and the Tsunami Memorial is closer to the resort. Day boats to the Similan Islands leave from this coast during the calmer months of the year.

A full day could start on Nang Thong Beach, then take in Sunset Beach, a further stretch of sand, before a visit to the Tsunami Museum. The national park's forest makes a change from the beach, and Bang Niang Market is 2.9 km away. Bang Niang Beach and Hat Lek are close by too, each with its own stretch of sand.
