MW Krabi Beach Resort

The rooms at MW Krabi Beach Resort come in several set-ups, from twin and double rooms to a triple with a sofa bed. Some are 44 m² and look out over the garden, while others have a pool view. Beds are single, double or king-size, depending on the room, and one room offers a choice of bed set-ups for up to seven guests.

Several bathrooms include a private bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, and some rooms have air conditioning, a telephone or a flat-screen TV. The triple room has a sofa bed for a third guest. Rooms can also have a safe, a balcony or terrace, linens and a hair dryer.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a fitness centre, with a garden and a poolside bar alongside. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, and bicycle rental is available for getting around the area.

MW Krabi Beach Resort is in Ao Nang, a beach town on the mainland coast of Krabi province, where a long strip of sand runs under limestone cliffs. The Andaman Sea shapes the coast here. The resort is a short walk from Noppharat Thara Beach, and the town has street-food stalls, tour offices and small shops along its streets. Boat trips and beaches are close at hand.

Ao Nang Night Market is 1.2 km away, with food stalls and shops that stay busy in the evening. Railay Beach, 4.6 km away, is a peninsula of cliffs and beaches reached mainly by longtail boat from Ao Nang. Tiger Cave Temple, a hilltop temple reached by a long stairway climb, lies 15.6 km away by road.

A good day can start with a longtail boat trip to Railay and end with an evening at the night market back on the mainland. Boat trips to Poda and Tup islands also leave from the Ao Nang coast, and day trips to the Hong Islands, a group of islands with lagoons inside them, leave from the coast too. Boats depend on the sea, so a rough day can change the plans for a day on the water.
