Mr. Clean Guesthouse is in Krabi Town, the provincial capital on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand. It is a town base rather than a beach setting, and the limestone coast and the islands are reached from here by boat or by road. Walking through the town gives a sense of daily life, with shrines, temples and night markets within a short walk of the guesthouse on Thanon Utarakit.

Chaofa Pier, a ferry terminal 150 m away, is the nearest pier, and the Krabi Walking Street is 250 m from the guesthouse. Close by are the City Pillar Shrine, a shrine in the town, and Wat Kaew Korawaram, a Buddhist temple, while the City Night Market is 400 m away and the Maharaj Market is also nearby.

A good day out could combine a stroll along the Krabi Walking Street with a visit to Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 6.9 km away, which is reached by road and climbed up a long staircase. Krabi International Airport is 8 km away, and Railay Beach, with its limestone cliffs, can only be reached by longtail boat, so it makes a separate day out. Krabi's beaches and islands are the main reason most travellers come to the area.
