Morning Mist Resort

Every room at Morning Mist Resort has a private entrance, and the rooms come with either a garden view or a river view. They measure from 16 m² to 40 m² and sleep up to four guests, with beds ranging from single and double beds to queen beds, and some rooms combine a single bed with a double bed.

The family room with garden view has two double beds for up to four guests. The family bungalow with river view has two queen beds for the same number of guests. Standard doubles and twin rooms, triple rooms and bungalows make up the rest of the accommodation.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and a massage service. Guests can also use the game room, the laundry service, the concierge and the currency exchange, and there is a shuttle service for guests.

Dining covers restaurants, a bar, a coffee shop and BBQ facilities, and there is Asian breakfast as well as a breakfast takeaway service. Activities include canoeing, hiking and bicycles, and tours and car hire are also available.

Morning Mist Resort sits in Khao Sok (Suratthani), an inland area of Surat Thani province in southern Thailand where rainforest and limestone cliffs cover much of the land. The main draw here is the forest, so most days revolve around walks, viewpoints and waterfalls rather than around town life. The atmosphere is quiet, and the river-view bungalows and garden-view rooms look out over the surrounding greenery, which is part of the appeal for anyone who wants a stay among trees.

Khao Sok National Park is 600 m from the resort, making it the natural first stop for anyone who comes to walk in the forest. The Khao Sok Valley Viewpoint is 1.8 km away, Wing Hin Waterfall is 1.9 km, and the Elephant Sanctuary is 2.3 km. Surat Thani Airport, 72.3 km away, is the nearest airport for arrivals by air, and the last stretch to the resort is by road.

Days here work well with an early walk in the national park, a visit to the valley viewpoint in the afternoon and a return to the resort for the pool. Canoeing, hiking and bicycles are offered by the resort, and the garden and terrace are on site for resting after the forest.
