Moracea by Khao Lak Resort

Moracea by Khao Lak Resort has rooms with pool, garden, ocean and beach views. The 90 m² Pool Villa with Breakfast and the 110 m² Pool Suite Villa are pool villas, while the 45 m² Deluxe Beach Front has an ocean view and the 41 m² superior room looks onto the garden.

Several rooms have a bathtub, and the 55 m² 1 Bedroom Deluxe also has a balcony or terrace. Air conditioning and a satellite or cable TV are found in many of the rooms, and the bed options include a double bed, two single beds and a king bed. Rooms sleep up to two or three guests, depending on the room.

Khaolak Beach is a stretch of the Andaman coast in Phang Nga province, with resorts facing the sand and hills rising inland. Nang Thong Beach is 50 m from the resort, and the coast here was badly hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, a history recalled by memorials and a museum in the area.

Sunset Beach is 900 m from the resort, and the Tsunami Memorial is close by. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 1.6 km away, lies in the hills inland, while the Hat Bang Niang Viewpoint, 1.8 km away, looks out over the coast. The Tsunami Museum is 3.1 km away and adds a historical stop to the area, and Phuket International Airport is the nearest major airport, reached by road.

A day could start on Sunset Beach, continue with the viewpoint at Hat Bang Niang and a visit to the national park, and finish on Bang Niang Beach. The Tsunami Museum is a useful stop in between, and the resort's own private beach is the simplest option for a quiet afternoon. Each of the stops above lies within a few kilometres of the resort, so the day can be planned without a long journey, and the memorials give the coast a different character from the beaches alone.
