Siam Paragon is 600 m from the hotel, a large shopping centre with cinemas and an aquarium. Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk set in traditional teak houses, is close by, and Pathumwananurak Park and Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World are also within a short walk.

A good day could start with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun on the river, 4.8 km and 5.1 km away, and end at Asiatique - The Riverfront for dinner by the water. The complex has shops and restaurants along the water. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.5 km away, is a large weekend market with thousands of stalls, and it is best saved for a weekend morning rather than a weekday.
