Maya Resort

The rooms at Maya Resort include villas with a private pool, garden-view rooms and a pool-view premium room for up to 12 guests. Rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom, a walk-in shower, a hair dryer, a coffee or tea maker, a mini bar, a sofa and a balcony or terrace.

Groups of up to 12 can book the three-bedroom premium room, or the 65 m² two-bedroom villa with a private pool, which sleeps up to 6. A 45 m² family villa and a 45 m² two-bedroom family room, both with a garden view, sleep up to 5 guests each, and the 42 m² suite sleeps up to 4.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming pool, along with a fitness centre, a massage service, billiards and a game room. The resort also offers snorkelling, diving and fishing, and a golf course is within 3 km.

Dining covers restaurants, a poolside bar, a coffee shop, room service, food delivery and barbecue facilities, and restaurant lunch and dinner are also served.

For families there is a kids club, a playground, a babysitting service and kids meals. For travellers, tours can be arranged, and car hire, a shuttle service, a taxi service, a concierge, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes are available, along with a 24-hour front desk.

Bo Phut is a former fishing village on Koh Samui, and Maya Resort is about 170 m from its beach. The best-known part of the area is Fisherman's Village, a quarter of old shophouses with a walking street of shops and restaurants. Beach, pier and walking street are all within a small area around the hotel, and Lompraya Pier is nearby. Several of the rooms have a garden or pool view.

Wat Bo Phut, a temple with a pagoda, is close by, and the Bophut Food Market is 500 m from the hotel. Big Buddha, the large Buddha statue on the island, is 3.4 km away, and Samui Airport is 3.6 km away on the same island, so the last stage of a trip from the airport needs no boat. Big Buddha is one of the island's best-known landmarks.

A day around Bo Phut can combine the beach with an evening at the walking street and the food market. Restaurants and shops line the walking street, a natural place for an evening out. The Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut, 1.2 km away, adds a visit with elephants to the plan, and Big Buddha can be added for a different kind of outing.
