Marinthara

Every room at Marinthara has air conditioning and a sea view, a queen bed for up to two guests, and the rooms measure 20 to 48 m².

Amenities include bathrobes, a hair dryer, an electric kettle, toiletries, towels and slippers, and some rooms also have a bathtub or a refrigerator. Rooms come with either a private bathroom or a shared bathroom, and free bottled water is provided in the rooms.

Marinthara offers free WiFi in all rooms, free parking, an airport transfer and a shuttle service, and air conditioning is also provided in the public areas. Luggage storage is available, English is spoken at the property, and the homestay has a tour desk for its activities.

Dining options include a restaurant, a coffee shop, BBQ facilities and room service, and alternative meal arrangements are also available. Guests can book tours, and fishing, snorkelling, canoeing and massage are offered, with the restaurant serving seafood, Thai and local dishes for lunch and dinner.

Marinthara is on Koh Phra Thong, an island off the coast of Phang Nga province in southern Thailand, in the Thung Dhap area. The island is reached by boat, and its landscape combines forest, national park land and small villages, with the sea around it. Plan the crossing from the mainland before you arrive, since the boat is the last leg of the journey.

The village of Ban Nok Na is 4 km away, and the Samnaksong Ban Nork Na church is 4.5 km away, while Ko Kho Khao Camping is 2.9 km away. The Mu Ko Ra - Ko Phra Thong National Park, a protected area, is 7.3 km away, and the village of Ban Tung La Ong is 7.4 km away. The villages of Ban Nok Na and Ban Tung La Ong show the everyday side of island life beyond the coastline, and the national park adds forest walks and wildlife to the mix.

The mainland pier at Kuraburi is the departure point for boats to the island, and the homestay's fishing and snorkelling trips are a good way to explore the waters around it. Walking and bike tours can also be arranged, which is a way to see the island at a slower pace.
