Mama Beach Residence

The rooms at Mama Beach Residence measure between 22 and 25 m² and all have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries, towels, a hair dryer and an electric kettle. Several rooms look out over the sea and others over the garden, and the beds are queen or single beds.

Some rooms sleep up to four guests, others two, and one is for a single guest. Some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and WiFi is also offered in the public areas, where Internet services can be used. The property has a jacuzzi, a solarium, a garden and a terrace, along with a massage service, a concierge, luggage storage, currency exchange and a laundry service. The public areas are air-conditioned.

Restaurants, a bar and a coffee shop are on the property, and happy hour is offered. Canoeing, diving, snorkelling and non-motorised water sports are offered, along with tours, so guests can plan time on the water next to the rest of their stay.

Ton Sai Bay is the main arrival point on Ko Phi Phi, the island in Krabi province where ferries from the mainland come in at Ton Sai Pier. The village around the bay is busy by day, with guesthouses, restaurants, dive operators and tour desks along the lanes between the pier and the beach. It is a practical base for travellers who want to be close to the boats and to the daily life of the village.

Ton Sai Beach is a short walk from the property, and Monkey Beach, 1.3 km away, is known for the macaques that live along its shore. The Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, 1.8 km away, is a hilltop lookout over the island's bays, and it is reached on foot from the village. Most of the village can be reached without a long walk, so the pier, the beach and the shops are all close to each other.

Boat trips are the main way to reach the bays around the island, and Ao Maya, on Phi Phi Leh and better known as Maya Bay, is 6.2 km away. Boat trips can be disrupted by rough sea, which is more likely in the rainy season, so the conditions on the water often decide how the day unfolds.
