Magic Resort Lamai

The bungalows at Magic Resort Lamai measure between 18 and 24 m² and sleep from two to four guests, so the choice runs from bungalows for a couple to family bungalows for up to four. Several look onto the garden, and the beds include single, double and king sizes.

Several bungalows have a private bathroom with a shower, hair dryer and toiletries, and a TV and free Wi-Fi appear in a number of them. Some have a balcony or terrace, and air conditioning or a fan is available in a number of the bungalows. The family bungalows sleep up to four guests, so groups of three or four can stay together in one room.

Magic Resort Lamai has a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop on site, and an alternative meal arrangement is also offered. Massages are available, and guests can go snorkelling or try non-motorised water sports, while tours can be arranged.

Lamai is a beach village on the island of Koh Samui, in the Gulf of Thailand, with a long stretch of sand and a main road lined with shops, pharmacies and bars. Koh Samui is Thailand's second-largest island after Phuket, and its coast has a string of beach villages, each with its own pace. Lamai feels more like a village than a resort town, and there are places to eat and to shop within walking distance of the beach. The mood is relaxed and the sea is the main draw, and the property sits in the village itself, so the beach, the shops and the bars are a short walk away.

Lamai Beach is 400 m from Magic Resort Lamai. The rock formations of Hin Ta & Hin Yai, known as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, are 1.6 km away, and Na Muang Waterfall lies 5.8 km away in the hills. The Big Buddha, a large seated statue, is 11.8 km away, and Samui Airport is 9.4 km away on the island itself, so you do not need a ferry from another island to reach the resort after landing.

A relaxed day could start on the beach, continue to the rock formations, and end with an evening walk through the village, where the shops are close together. For a longer outing, the waterfall and the Big Buddha are good choices for a day away from the beach.
