Luna Guesthouse and Travel

Every room at Luna Guesthouse and Travel has air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a TV, and the rooms measure between 15 and 45 m². Depending on the room, the view is over the city or the courtyard, and capacities run from two to six guests.

Beds go from a futon to a king bed, and some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups. One room can be connected to another, and a coffee and tea maker is provided in three of the rooms. Bathrooms vary: one room has a private bathroom, another has a shared one, and the 15 m² room has a separate shower and bathtub.

Luna Guesthouse and Travel has a fitness centre, a spa and a sauna, and a shared lounge with a TV area. A coffee shop is on the premises, and daily housekeeping and luggage storage are offered. Express check-in and check-out and ticket services are also available.

Free parking is available on site, with more parking nearby, so guests who drive have two places to leave a car. Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and English and Mandarin are spoken at the property.

Rawai and Chalong sit in the south of Phuket, where local life runs alongside the boat traffic at the piers and the island's older temples. Luna Guesthouse and Travel is in the Chalong Pier area, a mix of ferry piers, beaches and Buddhist temples, with the sea never far away and the rest of the island reached by road.

Chalong Beach is 650 m away, and the Night Market, a local evening market, is 300 m from the property. Chalong Pier, 1.2 km away, is the ferry terminal for boat trips to islands off the coast. Wat Chalong, officially Chaithararam Temple, is one of the most important Buddhist temples on Phuket and is 3.1 km away, while the Big Buddha, a large white statue on Nakkerd Hills, stands nearby. The statue is one of the best-known landmarks on the island.

A day can start at Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha, followed by a drive to Kata Beach, 4.5 km away, a popular sandy beach with a busy seafront. Getting around Phuket is mainly by road, as the island is joined to the mainland by a bridge. Rough seas in the rainy months can change the plans for boat trips from Chalong Pier.
