Long Bay Resort

The accommodation at Long Bay Resort is made up of huts and cottages of 20 or 33 m². The Garden Hut has one double bed and a garden view, while the cottages have a garden view, a partial sea view, a partial ocean view or an ocean view, and they sleep up to four guests.

The Superior, Deluxe and Standard Cottages each measure 33 m² and offer a choice of bed set-ups, with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The three cottages that sleep four guests each have a TV and an ocean or garden view, and the Garden Hut also has its own private bathroom.

The restaurant serves à la carte dishes and room service, and there is also a coffee shop, a bar, a poolside bar and BBQ facilities. Outdoor and indoor swimming pools sit alongside a massage service and a hot tub, and the resort has a playground and a children's swimming pool.

Activities include canoeing, diving, fishing, snorkelling and non-motorised water sports, and tours are offered. Laundry, ironing and daily housekeeping are available, along with luggage storage, safety deposit boxes and a concierge. Wheelchair access is available, and parking on site is free. Satellite and cable channels are available as well, as is a telephone service, and WiFi is offered in the public areas.

Long Bay Resort sits in Haad Yao on Ko Pha-ngan, with Long Beach just 50 m from the property. Haad Yao is the village where the resort stands. The sand and the sea are the draw of this part of the island, and several smaller beaches lie within walking distance, including Haad Thian Beach and Salad Beach.

The Viewpoint at Sabai Bar is a short walk away, and the Wang Sai waterfall lies 2.2 km from the resort, while the Buddhist pagoda Wat Sri Thanu is 2.3 km away. Both the pagoda and the waterfall are within a few kilometres of the resort. Ko Pha-ngan is an island, and the nearest airport, Samui Airport, is 27.6 km away on Ko Samui, so the last part of the trip is by boat.

A good day could begin with a swim at Long Beach, then a walk to the viewpoint at Sabai Bar and a trip to Wang Sai waterfall. The Food Market, a few kilometres away, is a good place for an easy lunch in the middle of the day. Diving, snorkelling and canoeing are offered at the resort, so the beach can be the start of the day rather than its end.
