Lipe Oasis Resort

The rooms at Lipe Oasis Resort are set among gardens, and most of them look out over the greenery, while one room has a park view. Sizes and beds vary: some rooms have a king bed, others pair a king bed with a bunk bed, and a few add a single bed. Rooms can have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a desk and a balcony or terrace.

Ko Lipe is a small island in the Andaman Sea, off Satun province in southern Thailand, and it is reached by boat. The resort sits in the village area, close to Sunrise Beach, and the island's beaches and clear water make it a base for snorkelling and diving. The nearest airport is Trang Airport, 118.6 km away on the mainland, so the last part of the journey is by boat.

Around the resort, Walking Street runs through the village and is lined with the small shops and food stalls typical of the island. The Koh Lipe Ferry Terminal is close by, and Sunrise Beach is about 250 m from the resort. Karma Beach and Pattaya Beach are nearby as well, Sunset Beach lies further along the coast, and the mosque, Masjid el Marhamah, is close to the resort too.

A day out can combine the island's beaches with a boat trip to Koh Adang, a national park island about 5.9 km away that is popular for snorkelling and diving, and the boat is the main way to reach it. Back in the village, Walking Street makes a good place for an evening stroll after a day on the water, and the beaches nearby are all reached on foot from the village lanes.
