Akira Lipe Resort

Many of the rooms at Akira Lipe Resort look onto the pool or the garden. Pool-view rooms of 44 m² and 52 m² sit alongside a 59 m² villa suite with a garden view, and all the rooms sleep up to three guests.

The rooms include twin rooms, double rooms and king-bed villas. Most have a private bathroom with a shower, an electric kettle and a hair dryer, and bathrobes and towels come with many of them. Some rooms also have a bathtub or a whirlpool bathtub, and several have wireless internet access, a telephone and a desk. Guests can also use the resort's garden, terrace and library between visits to the pool.

Akira Lipe Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a massage service, along with a fitness centre, billiards, a garden and a terrace. The resort also has a library, a 24-hour front desk and room service.

For children there is a children's swimming pool, a kids club and a playground. The resort also has diving, snorkelling, canoeing, fishing and tours, plus an airport transfer, and dining includes a restaurant with a la carte service, a coffee shop and a poolside bar. Breakfast is served as a buffet, and the restaurant also offers lunch and dinner. The hot tub and the terrace are part of the resort's leisure facilities.

Ko Lipe is a small island in the Andaman Sea, part of Satun province in southern Thailand. Akira Lipe Resort is about 50 m from Pattaya Beach, a sandy stretch of coast on the island. Travellers come for the beaches, the snorkelling and the boat trips to neighbouring islands.

The Koh Lipe Ferry Terminal is 100 m from the resort, and boats from the mainland dock there. Walking Street, a pedestrian lane 200 m away, runs through the village area and is a good place for an evening stroll, while Sunrise Beach and Karma Beach lie further along the shore. The nearest airport is Trang Airport, 119 km away on the mainland, and the crossing from the mainland port of Pak Bara is the usual route onto the island.

A typical day could begin with a swim at Pattaya Beach, followed by snorkelling in the waters around the island and a boat trip to Koh Adang, a neighbouring island 6.1 km away. The pier, the walking lane and the beach are all a short walk from the resort, so daily life on the island is close at hand. In the afternoon, the resort's garden, library and terrace give you a quiet place to spend the hours when you are not on the water.
