Lipe Hostel

Air conditioning is standard in every room at Lipe Hostel, and each room sleeps up to two guests. The beds are either a bunk bed or queen beds, and the outlook differs: some rooms have no window, while one looks onto the street.

Bathroom arrangements vary. One room has a private bathroom with bathrobes, towels and a mirror, and the rooms with a shared bathroom still offer a shower, toiletries and slippers. Free Wi-Fi reaches all the rooms, and a hair dryer is provided in the bunk bed room. The rooms are set up for two guests, with bedding, air conditioning and a bathroom arrangement that depends on the room you choose.

Lipe Hostel offers a bar, restaurants and room service, along with a garden where guests can spend time outdoors. The hostel also has massage and spa treatments, a sauna and a fitness centre.

For the practical side, there is an airport transfer, a shuttle service, tours and ticket services, and a concierge. Luggage storage, express check-in and check-out, daily housekeeping, dry cleaning and laundry service are also offered.

Sunrise Beach is a stretch of sand on Ko Lipe, a small island in the Andaman Sea that belongs to the Tarutao archipelago. Bars and small restaurants are close by, and the island is small enough that its beaches, its village and its ferry pier can all be reached on foot. The waters around Ko Lipe are known for snorkelling and diving, and the island is a popular stop for travellers heading south.

Pattaya Beach is 350 m away and Karma Beach 900 m, and Walking Street is 550 m from the hostel. The Koh Lipe Ferry Terminal is a short walk away, and boats from the mainland dock there. The nearest airport is Trang Airport, 119 km away on the mainland, so the final stretch of the journey is by boat. Koh Adang, part of Tarutao National Park, is 6.4 km away and is also reached by boat.

A good day out is the boat trip to Koh Adang, where the national park's snorkelling spots are the main draw. Back on Ko Lipe, a walk to the island's viewpoints is an easy way to fill an afternoon, and the beaches along the way give plenty of places to stop.
