Lipa Bay Resort

Every room type at Lipa Bay Resort measures 36 m². Some rooms have a sea view, others look onto the garden, and the choice runs from rooms for two guests to rooms sleeping up to five. The rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels, a desk and an in-room safe.

Some rooms have a bathtub or a whirlpool bathtub, and several have a balcony or terrace. Some also have a mini bar with a refrigerator, satellite or cable channels, a flat-screen TV and a telephone. Baby cots are available on request, and clothes racks are provided too.

Lipa Bay Resort is in the Nathon area of Koh Samui, in the Lipa Noi district, where the surroundings are mostly villages and quiet roads rather than the island's busiest beach strips. Getting around the island is easiest by scooter, taxi or rented car.

Within a short distance is Wat Samuthra Ram, a pagoda 1 km from the resort, and Pang Ka Beach, a sandy beach 2.8 km away. Further afield, Na Muang Waterfall, set among the hills of the island's interior, lies 6.8 km away and the Big Buddha, a hilltop temple in Bophut, is 15.7 km away. Samui Airport is 15 km away, and the resort offers a taxi service, with tours that can be arranged.

A good day out could start at Na Muang Waterfall and end on the sand at Pang Ka Beach. The Samui Monkey Center, a monkey park a short way from the resort, is another stop for the afternoon. Pang Ka Beach is a quieter stretch of sand, well suited to a slow afternoon. Wat Samuthra Ram can be added to the same loop, since it is close to the resort. Samui's hills and beaches are easy to combine in a single day.
