Lazy Hut

Lazy Hut offers bungalows and cottages, and every room has a balcony or terrace. Some rooms look out to the sea and others to the garden, and several have air conditioning and a seating area. The bungalows and cottages are set within the grounds, which include a garden and a terrace.

Several rooms sleep up to five guests, and the Standard Cottage Beachfront sleeps up to six. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and most rooms also have a desk and a fan. Some rooms can be set up with a choice of bed set-ups, and the beach is right next to the property.

Guests can eat at the restaurant, have a drink at the bar or the coffee shop, and order room service or a snack from the snack bar. Alternative meal arrangements are offered too, with the restaurant, the bar and the coffee shop all on site.

The spa offers massage, and there is a spa and sauna on site, which is a good place to end a day on the water. Dry cleaning, laundry service and luggage storage are available, and the property is wheelchair accessible, with a garden and a terrace.

Free parking is available, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, with Wi-Fi in public areas too. Canoeing, snorkelling, diving, fishing and wind surfing are offered, along with tours.

Lazy Hut is on Koh Phayam, a laid-back island with beaches and small villages off Ranong province on the Andaman Sea. You reach the island by boat from the mainland, so the crossing is the first part of any stay here. The hotel sits right beside the beach, and the island's coast is cut by bays, several with their own beaches. Swimming and snorkelling are the obvious pastimes here.

Ao Ko Kyu village is 800 m away, and Ao Yai Beach is 1 km away. Ao Ko Kyu is one of the island's villages, and Ao Yai Beach is one of the beaches along its coast. The Hin Talu viewpoint is 3.7 km away, a stop for views across the island and the sea beyond, and the Bot Klang Thale pagoda is 4.5 km away, a place for a visit.

Koh Phayam Pier, the island's ferry terminal, is 4 km from the hotel, so the boats to the mainland are the first and last part of any trip here. A day can start with a swim at the beach next to the hotel and continue to the viewpoint at Hin Talu or the pagoda at Bot Klang Thale, combining sea and sightseeing. Plan the boat crossing around the weather in the rainy season, when the sea can be rough.
