Lanta Resort

Lanta Resort has villas, bungalows, suites and family rooms, with sea, garden and pool views. Every room has a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and a hair dryer, and a telephone and satellite or cable channels come with the rooms. Several of the rooms sleep three or four guests.

The Pool Villa and the Beachfront Villa have sea views, the Grand Suite has a whirlpool bathtub, and the Deluxe Pool Access room has a view of the pool. Air conditioning and blackout curtains are fitted in some rooms, bathrobes come with several of them, and a choice of bed set-ups is offered in a number of rooms.

Tours can be arranged, and shuttle and taxi services and an airport transfer are offered. A coffee shop is open on site, and in-room safe boxes are available.

Lanta Resort sits in the Pra Ae Beach area of Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast. Its long beaches and small villages give the island a relaxed feel, and Klong Dao Beach is 300 m from the resort. The nearest airport is on the mainland, and the island is reached by boat.

Close by are the Khlong Dao Muay Thai Stadium, 400 m away, and the Monday Market, 550 m from the resort. Both the stadium and the market are a short walk from the resort, with food stalls and everyday shops around the market. Kantiang Bay is 2.5 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, a marine park with islands and beaches, lies 18.5 km away for a longer trip.

A good day might start with a swim at Klong Dao Beach and a walk to the market, then continue with a boat trip or a visit to the national park. Sea trips can be affected by rough water during the south-west monsoon, roughly from May to October. Evenings can be spent by the pool or at the resort's bar, and car hire is offered at the resort for trips around the island.
