The accommodation at Lanta Pearl Beach Resort is made up of bungalows set in gardens, several with a garden view and some with air conditioning. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the beds range from one king bed to two king beds, with some bungalows combining a single bed and a king bed.

Koh Lanta is a long island in Krabi province on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, where small villages and quiet beaches set the pace more than busy towns do. Long Beach is the nearest stretch of sand, a short walk from the resort, and several more beaches are spread out along the island's coast, so a beach day can be varied without changing base.

Klong Dao Beach is 1.1 km away, another beach on the same coast, and the Andaman International clinic is 400 m away, with a 7 Eleven convenience store 1.7 km away for everyday needs. Further afield, Khao Mai Kaew Cave is a cave to visit on an excursion, 10 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, a protected park covering forest and sea, is 17.6 km away.

Ideas for a day include a visit to the cave, a walk through the national park, or a stop at the island's Khlong Chak Waterfall. Krabi International Airport lies on the mainland, so the journey ends with a ferry crossing to the island. The sea can be rough during the monsoon months, and ferry crossings may be disrupted then, so a flexible plan helps during those weeks.
