Lanta Island Resort

The accommodation at Lanta Island Resort is made up of bungalows, several of them with a garden view. The Villa with Sea View measures 70 m² and has a sea view, the Pool Bungalow has a view of the pool, and the Two-Bedroom Bungalow measures 80 m² and sleeps up to four guests.

Several rooms have a private bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, as well as a hair dryer and an electric kettle, and some offer wireless internet access. Non-smoking rooms are available, and the resort has a smoking area. Extra beds depend on the room you choose, and a baby cot is available on request.

The resort has outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a children's swimming pool, a spa with sauna and massage, a yoga room and an open-air bath, as well as billiards and a private beach.

Activities include canoeing, diving, snorkelling, fishing, horseback riding, non-motorised water sports and tours. For meals, the restaurant serves Asian, Western and international cuisine, and there are a snack bar, room service and BBQ facilities.

Guests can also use an airport transfer, a shuttle service and a taxi service, and car hire and bicycles are offered. Daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services, luggage storage and a gift shop are available, and a doctor or nurse is on call. English, German, Thai and Ukrainian are spoken, and facilities for disabled guests are available.

Lanta Island Resort is in the Klong Dao Beach area of Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi Province on Thailand's Andaman coast. The island is known for its string of beaches, its national park forest and its limestone caves, and it suits a beach stay with day trips to the rest of the island. A main road runs much of the island's length, linking the beaches with the small towns and villages in between, so the coast is easy to explore on a day out.

The resort is a short walk from Klong Dao Beach. Kantiang Bay is 1.2 km away, while Lanta Old Town, the island's old town, is 13.3 km away. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 19.6 km away, protects the island's forest and coastline, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave is 11.9 km away. Koh Lanta is an island, so the last leg of the trip is by boat, and Krabi International Airport is 52 km from the resort.

A full day could begin with a swim at Klong Dao Beach, continue with a walk to Kantiang Bay, and end with a visit to the national park or the cave. In the rainy months, boat connections can be disrupted when the sea is rough.
