Lanta Family Resort

The rooms at Lanta Family Resort include standard rooms, bungalows and family rooms, several of them with a garden or sea view. Many have air conditioning, and some open onto a balcony or terrace, while others have a seating area or a private entrance. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms.

Family rooms sleep up to five guests. One family room for four guests has a double bed and a bunk bed, blackout curtains and a refrigerator. Several rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and towels are provided in many of them. Rooms with a sea view and rooms looking onto the garden are both available.

Lanta Family Resort has free Wi-Fi in all rooms and free parking on site. A 24-hour front desk is open, and room service, laundry service, daily housekeeping and luggage storage are available. A bar, a restaurant and a halal restaurant are on the premises, and food delivery is offered too.

Bicycle rental is also available, and the resort is wheelchair accessible, with a doctor or nurse on call.

Lanta Family Resort is in Baan Klong Khong, a village on Koh Lanta, a long island in Krabi province where beaches follow one another along the coast. Khlong Khong Beach is 50 m from the resort, and the village of Haad Khlong Khong is close by, so the sea is a short stroll from the rooms. Koh Lanta is reached by ferry from the mainland, so the last part of the trip is by boat.

Lanta Old Town, 8 km away, is the island's traditional old town, with its older houses and local life. Khlong Chak Waterfall is 13.2 km from the resort, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 13.3 km away, is a protected area of forest and coastline. Both make a good change from the beach for a day out.

A good day out could combine a visit to the waterfall with time in the national park, and then a swim back at the beach. For time on the water, canoeing, diving and snorkelling are available, and tours can be arranged, so the sea and the forested interior of the island can both be seen in a single day from the resort, with the beach close at hand for the afternoon.
