Around the property are the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks, known locally as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, 650 m away along the coast. Lamai Night Market, 1.5 km away, is the place to eat and browse in the evening, and the Na Muang Waterfall, 5.7 km away, sits in the island's interior. Samui Airport is 10.4 km away, on Koh Samui itself, so the trip from the airport ends on the island.

A day could begin on Lamai Beach, continue to the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks, and end at the night market. From there, the Na Muang Waterfall makes a good trip into the interior, reached by road. The Lamai Viewpoint is close to the same road, so the beach, the rocks and the lookout can be combined in one outing. The Big Buddha, a large seated statue on a hill, is a longer drive away, and the trip there makes a full outing from the beach.
