Kalim Beach is a short distance along the coast, and Patong Boxing Stadium, where Muay Thai bouts take place, is close by. Karon Beach and Kata Beach, the next beaches south of Patong, are a few kilometres further on. Further afield, Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 6.7 km away and is one of the most revered temples on Phuket, while the Big Buddha statue on Nakkerd Hills is 8 km away.

A good day could start on Patong Beach, continue to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha by taxi, and finish with dinner and a walk through the night market back in Patong. Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with an evening show, is another way to spend the evening. Phuket International Airport is 23.6 km away for arrivals and departures.
