La Solaya Khao Lak

Rooms at La Solaya Khao Lak range from Deluxe King Rooms to villas, and several have a garden view. Khuk Khak Beach is further along the same coast, and Khao Lak has long been a base for travellers exploring this part of the Andaman coast.

The International Tsunami Museum, about 1000 m from the hotel, tells the story of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that struck this coast. Wat Panatnikhom, a temple 1.2 km away, is one of the nearby sights in the village area. Inland, Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park lies 4.3 km away, and Ton Chong Fa Waterfall, at 4.7 km, is one of the area's waterfalls.

A good day could begin at Bang Niang Beach, continue to the museum and finish with a walk in the national park. For the islands, tours can be arranged through the hotel, and the Similan Islands are reached by boat from the Khao Lak coast. Diving and snorkelling are offered too, and boat trips to the islands depend on the season, since the park closes during the rainy months.
