Krabi Tropical Beach

The rooms at Krabi Tropical Beach run from a 20 m² superior room with a street view to 56 m² family apartments with a sea or garden view, some sleeping up to six guests. Several rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Rooms can have a desk, bathrobes, a hair dryer, a shower, a coffee and tea maker, or a balcony or terrace, depending on the room. The Deluxe Sea View and superior rooms each have one queen bed, and the Family Apartment with Sea View has two queen beds for up to four guests, with a sea view from the room.

Krabi Tropical Beach is on Ao Nam Mao Beach, on the Krabi coast of southern Thailand, and the name comes from the small village of Ao Nam Mao, which sits on the same bay. The coast here combines beach, village and limestone scenery, with a fossil shell beach and a fossil museum close by. It is a setting for travellers who want the sea close to the rooms and a quieter base than the busier stretches of the Krabi coast.

The Ao Nam Mao pier is 1.2 km away for boats, and Railay Beach is 4.2 km away, reached by longtail boat from the piers at Ao Nang. Ao Nang Beach is 5.1 km away and brings the shops, bars and tour offices of a resort town, while the Krabi Weekend Night Market is a short ride inland. Krabi International Airport is 14.4 km away, and the trip from the airport is by road, so a car or taxi is the usual way to reach the hotel.

A good day starts with a boat from the Ao Nam Mao pier to Railay, where Phra Nang Cave sits on the peninsula, and ends back at the hotel in the evening. Wat Tham Suea, the Tiger Cave Temple, is a hilltop temple reached by a long staircase, and it lies inland from the coast. In the rainy months, rough seas can halt the boats to Railay.
