Krabi Pitta House

The rooms at Krabi Pitta House measure between 19 and 32 m² and sleep up to six guests. Most rooms are air-conditioned, and several have a balcony/terrace with a view over the city or the street. Some rooms include a window and a mirror, while others have a shower, a refrigerator and free bottled water.

Bed set-ups include single beds, double beds and bunk beds, and one room can be set up in more than one way. Krabi Pitta House is on Uttarakij Road in Paknam, in Krabi Town, the provincial capital of Krabi on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand. The town is a practical base rather than a beach resort: its streets hold shops, food stalls and temples, and the night markets come alive in the evening. Beaches such as Ao Nang are a longer trip away.

Within a short walk are the Andaman Art Museum and the Andaman Beads Museum, the Black Crab Night Market, and Wat Kaew Korawaram, a temple with a pagoda. Chaofa Pier, a ferry terminal 900 m away, is the gateway for boat trips to the islands. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple complex reached by a long climb, is 6.1 km away, and Railay Beach, a limestone peninsula reached by boat, is 10.7 km away.

A good way to spend the day is to walk to the temples and museums in town in the morning, then head to Chaofa Pier for a boat trip to the islands, weather permitting. In the evening the night markets and the Krabi Walking Street are close enough to reach on foot. Sea conditions on the Andaman coast can be rough in the rainy months, when boat services can be disrupted.
