The Krabi Weekend Night Market, 700 m away, is a market for food and shopping, and Chaofa Pier, 1 km off, is a ferry terminal in the town. Krabi International Airport is 8 km away, and Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple with cave shrines, lies outside town.

The Krabi Walking Street and the City Night Market are close by for an evening stroll. Boat trips from the piers reach the islands, and Railay Beach, reached by longtail boat, is known for its limestone cliffs. Ao Nang Beach, the busy beach strip further along the coast, is reached by road, and airport transfers are offered for arrivals.
