A day out often starts with a boat from the town to Poda Island and Tup Island, which lie offshore, or to Railay Beach, which is reached mainly by longtail boat and is known for its towering limestone cliffs above the water. Ao Nang beach, about 10.8 km away, can also be reached by road for a day on the sand.
