KPOP Hostel

KPOP Hostel has dormitory rooms in several layouts, from a female-only dorm and mixed dorms to a family room that sleeps up to six guests. The rooms measure between 25 and 28 m², and most of the dorm beds are bunk beds, with four capsule beds in one room.

Several rooms have a private bathroom, and most have air conditioning and blackout curtains. The shared areas of the hostel include a lounge with a TV, and the bar is open to all guests.

The on-site food and drink options include a bar, a coffee shop, a snack bar and a restaurant, and breakfast is served a la carte.

Day-to-day services include daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services, lockers and safety deposit boxes for valuables. The hostel also offers 24-hour security, car hire, a concierge desk and an airport transfer, and tours can be arranged.

Free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, and WiFi is also available in the public areas, so guests can stay connected from the lounge as well as their rooms. English and Korean are spoken at the property, and the shared areas include a lounge and a TV area where guests can relax between days out around the island.

KPOP Hostel is in Karon, a beach area on the island of Phuket where a long bay of sand is the main draw, and the streets behind the beach hold cafés, bars and small shops. Karon Beach is the nearest stretch of sand, 200 m from the hostel, and the walk down to it takes you past the everyday streets of the area, where small restaurants and shops sit between the hostel and the sand.

Kata Beach lies on the neighbouring bay, and the Karon Night Market and Karon Temple Market are 350 m from the hostel, so evening food and shopping need no trip. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the most revered temples on Phuket, is 4.6 km away, and the Big Buddha on the hills is 3.1 km away. Phuket International Airport is 29.1 km away.

A good day is a swim at Karon, a visit to Wat Chalong, and an evening at the night market close to the hostel, which is an easy walk back. For nightlife, Patong and Bangla Road are a longer trip by road, and the Big Buddha is worth the drive up into the hills for the view over the island and the surrounding bays.
