The Big Buddha, a large hilltop statue, is 21.9 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 20.2 km away.

A day could start on Bang Tao Beach, with the resort's pool in the afternoon. Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha make a morning or early afternoon outing, and Phuket FantaSea suits an evening, when the show runs. Patong Beach is a longer trip for the nightlife, and a car or a taxi is useful for the longer journeys across the island. For a quieter day, the beach and the resort's own pool are the simplest choice, with Layan National Park close by and the golf courses of the Laguna area offer something different.
