Railay Beach, 2.4 km away, has limestone cliffs rising above the sand and is reached by longtail boat from the pier, while Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 15 km away, is a hilltop temple reached by a long staircase. Krabi International Airport is 18.7 km away, so the journey from the airport ends on the road rather than by boat.

A good day starts with a swim at Ao Nang Beach, then a longtail boat to Railay to walk the sand under the cliffs. Poda Island, a small island with beaches, is also reached by longtail boat from the bay, so an island day is easy to plan from the hotel. In the evening, the walk back along the beach road and a meal at the night market close the day.
