The rooms at Koh Yao unnrak Resort all have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels, and a balcony or terrace. Every room measures 24 m² and has a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a coffee or tea maker and an electric kettle.

Boats are the main link to the mainland and to the other islands in the bay, so most journeys beyond the island begin at a pier.

Lo Jak Beach lies 1.4 km away, and the village of Ban Khlong Din Niao is close by. Ao Sai Beach and Laem Nok Beach are a few kilometres further along the coast, and Khai Nui Island lies offshore, reached by boat. The limestone rock of James Bond Island, in the bay, is 38.6 km away and is well known across Phang Nga Bay.

The airport is on Phuket, so the trip from it ends with a crossing by boat. A good day here is a boat trip around the bay to James Bond Island and the limestone islands, followed by an afternoon on Lo Jak Beach. Ao Sai Beach and Laem Nok Beach make a quieter alternative for a walk along the coast, and Khai Nui Island is a short hop by boat for a change of scene.
