Koh Ngai Resort

The rooms at Koh Ngai Resort measure between 30 and 46 m², and several of them look out over the ocean, the beach or the garden. Two rooms sleep up to five guests, and the others sleep two or three.

Some rooms have air conditioning, balconies and seating areas, and private bathrooms are included in several. Beds include single beds and a king bed, and in one room a choice of bed set-ups. A room with a beach view is also available. Some bungalows sit on the beachfront, and others look out over the garden, so guests can choose between the two settings.

Koh Ngai is a small island in the Lanta National Marine Park, off the coast of Krabi, where the shoreline is made up of several beaches and bays and the interior is national park land. It is a place for swimming, snorkelling and diving, and for days spent by the water. Reaching it means a boat trip from the mainland, which is part of the island's appeal. The island has no road, so every visit starts with that crossing.

The nearest beach is Ao Kra Yi, 150 m away, and the 2 Rocks dive site lies 350 m from the resort. Maa Bay is 1.7 km away, and other beaches, including Ao Muang Beach, are also on the island's coast. The Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot), a natural pool in the forest near Khlong Thom, is 58.2 km away, and Railay, a limestone peninsula reached by longtail boat, is 78.8 km away.

A day out might combine a snorkelling trip to Tup Island and Poda Island, both popular stops by boat, with a visit to Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), a hillside temple complex near Krabi town. Sea conditions can make boat trips rougher during the rainy months, so it is worth keeping the schedule flexible.
