Khaothong Terrace Resort

Khaothong Terrace Resort offers rooms for up to three guests, a 51 m² Terrace Room for up to four guests with an ocean view and a king bed, and a 51 m² deluxe double or twin room for two. Some of the rooms have a sea view.

Rooms can include air conditioning, blackout curtains, an in-room safe, a mosquito net, a seating area and free bottled water, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. Bathrobes, a hair dryer and toiletries are also provided in some rooms, and the Terrace Room has a separate shower and bathtub.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, along with a garden and a terrace. Massage is offered, and restaurants, a bar and room service are available. A 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping and a laundry service complete the on-site services.

For getting around, the resort offers an airport transfer, a shuttle service, a taxi service and car hire, and bicycles can be rented. Tours and ticket services are also available, and free parking is on site. Wireless internet access is available in public areas, and English and Thai are spoken. Khaothong Terrace Resort sits on the mainland of Krabi province, in the Ban Tha Len area near the Khao Thong hills, where the coast is quieter than the beaches around Ao Nang. The land around it is a mix of hills, villages and mangrove channels, with fewer resorts and bars than on the main beach strip.

Khao Thong Viewpoint, 600 m away on the hill, gives a wide look over the surrounding countryside. The Ao Thalane mangrove forest, where you can paddle a kayak between the trees, is close by. Ao Nang Beach is 17 km away, with its beach road and boat trips, and Railay Beach, 20.1 km away, is reached only by longtail boat. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), 20.2 km away, has a climb up to a cave shrine, and Krabi International Airport is 26.9 km away.

For a day on the water, Poda Island and the Hong Islands are popular trips by boat from the Ao Nang and Railay area. A day on the beaches can be paired with a walk up the Khao Thong hill and a visit to the Tiger Cave Temple, both of which are close enough to the resort to make a full day without a long journey.
