Khaolak Suthawan Resort

Rooms at Khaolak Suthawan Resort measure between 25 and 35 m² and sleep up to four guests, depending on the room. Some overlook the garden and others the pool, and the bed set-ups change from room to room. Some have air conditioning, and others have a private bathroom with a shower.

Bang Niang Beach is also nearby, along the same stretch of coast.

Khuk Khak Beach is 1.3 km away, and the Tsunami Museum, which tells the story of the tsunami that struck this coast, is 3.1 km away. Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is also in the forested hills inland, and Phuket International Airport is 65.3 km away. Khao Lak Bus Station is 900 m from the resort, and the resort's own garden and outdoor swimming pool mean much of a stay can be spent on site.

A day could start with a swim at Khuk Khak Beach and continue to Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, or be spent on a boat trip to the Similan Islands, which lie 13.6 km away. The Tsunami Museum can be combined with an afternoon on the beach. Boat trips to the islands can be cancelled when the sea is rough, which is more common in the rainy season.
