The Tsunami Museum, 4 km away, tells the story of the tsunami that struck this coast in 2004, while Similan National Park, 6.5 km away, is known for diving around the Similan Islands. Sunset Beach is also close by.

A day here can start on Nang Thong Beach and then continue to the national park before a visit to the Tsunami Museum. Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is a further trip inland from the coast.
