The accommodation at Khaolak Mountain View Resort covers deluxe rooms, pool villas and one-bedroom bungalows, with a pool view in some rooms and a balcony or terrace in others.

The resort sits on the Petchkasem road in the Khuk Khak area. Orchid Garden is one of the closest places to visit, and the Ton Chong Fa Waterfall, 5 km away, is a cascade in the hills behind the coast. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park offers forest trails, and Bangsak Beach is a further stretch of sand nearby. Car hire and a shuttle service are offered on site, and Phuket International Airport, 65.6 km away, is the nearest airport.

A common day out is the boat trip to the Similan Islands, a national park reached by boat from the mainland, where the sea conditions decide the day. Closer to the resort, the forest trails of Khao Lak-Lam Ru and the waterfalls make a relaxed half-day alternative, with a visit to the tsunami museum adding a more serious side to the trip. Between trips, the pool and the garden are on site.
