Khaolak Grand City Hotel

Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, 2.1 km away, has forest trails and waterfalls, and the Tsunami Museum, 2.7 km away, documents the 2004 tsunami that struck this stretch of coast. Hat Bang Niang Viewpoint, 2.3 km away, is a lookout point over the coast, and Similan National Park, 7.8 km away, is the gateway to the Similan Islands, which are reached by boat.

A good day could begin with a walk on Nang Thong Beach, continue to the Tsunami Museum and end on the national park's trails and waterfalls. Boat trips to the Similan Islands depend on sea conditions, which are often rough in the rainy season. Phuket International Airport is 59.4 km away, and the road from there runs north up the coast to Khao Lak.
