Khao Sok Green Valley Resort

The rooms at Khao Sok Green Valley Resort include standard and deluxe rooms, family rooms and a honeymoon suite, measuring between 24 and 40 m². Depending on the room, guests can have air conditioning, a seating area, a shower, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms are a practical base for days spent in Khao Sok National Park, which is about 450 m away.

Khao Sok (Suratthani) is a rural area in Surat Thani province, where Khao Sok National Park covers rainforest, limestone cliffs and river valleys. The resort is about 450 m from the park, so the forest is close enough to reach on foot, and the surroundings are quiet and green. The park is one of the larger protected areas in southern Thailand.

Around the resort there are a few natural sights. The Wing Hin waterfall is 1.9 km away, the Khao Sok Valley Viewpoint is nearby, and Mae Yai is a waterfall 4.4 km away. For longer trips, Surat Thani Airport is 72.2 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer. Mae Yai is the furthest of these, so it is better reached as a separate outing.

A good day could start with a walk in Khao Sok National Park, followed by a visit to one of the viewpoints or waterfalls, and end at the resort's hot spring bath and massage, which suits a long day on foot. Longer excursions into the park can reach Cheow Lan lake, a reservoir surrounded by limestone. Visitors usually see the lake by boat, and floating bungalows on the water are a popular overnight option.
