Kata S.T House 2

The rooms at Kata S.T House 2 have either a double bed or a queen bed, and several have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. Some rooms have air conditioning, a refrigerator, a dining table or a mirror, depending on the room.

Rooms sleep two or three guests, and one of them has a street view. Guests can also use the laundry service and food delivery offered by the guesthouse, and the public areas have air conditioning.

Kata S.T House 2 offers daily housekeeping and a laundry service, and a doctor or nurse is on call. Free parking is available, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, with internet services and Wi-Fi in public areas as well. Air conditioning is also in the public areas.

Kata is one of the beach areas of Phuket, with a wide sandy bay and a calmer pace than Patong, which lies 6.7 km away along the same coast. Kata S.T House 2 is about 500 m from Kata Beach, so the sand is a short walk from the rooms, and Karon Beach is the neighbouring bay.

Phuket Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hill, is 1.6 km away, and Wat Chalong, one of the island's most important Buddhist temples, is a good stop for a half-day visit. Karon Beach sits on the same stretch of coast, so the two beaches are easy to combine in one day, with a stroll between the sand and the local streets and lanes in between. Phuket International Airport is 31.7 km from the guesthouse, so the airport is the longest leg of the journey.

A full day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, continue to the Phuket Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end with a walk to the Kata Walking Street Night Market, which is 250 m from the guesthouse. Kata Open Market is also close to the guesthouse, for a morning browse before heading to the sand.
