Kata Poolside Resort

The rooms at Kata Poolside Resort measure 34 to 36 m² and can have air conditioning, a desk, a mini bar, a refrigerator and an in-room safe, with bathrooms that may include a bathtub or a shower. Several rooms overlook the pool, the garden or the mountains.

Beds include single beds, double beds and a king bed, depending on the room, and interconnecting rooms are available for groups travelling together. A baby cot can be provided on request, and housekeeping is daily, so rooms are cleaned every day. Room service is also available, so meals can be brought to the room.

Kata is a beach area on the Andaman coast of Phuket, built around a wide sweep of sand that is a short walk from the resort. Its atmosphere is calmer than Patong, the island's main nightlife district, and the streets behind the beach are lined with small shops, food stalls and massage places. The bay is one of several along Phuket's coast, and each has its own character.

Karon Beach, the neighbouring beach, is 1.5 km away, and Kata Noi Beach is a smaller, quieter beach beside Kata. The Big Buddha Phuket, a large seated Buddha statue on a hill, is 1.8 km away, while Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 5.1 km away and is one of the island's most revered Buddhist temples. A bus stop for Phuket town is right next to the resort, and Phuket International Airport is 32.7 km away.

A good day could begin on Kata Beach, continue to the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, and end with a stroll through the Kata Open Market or back on the sand. The Big Buddha and Wat Chalong are both reached by road, so the day is easiest with a car or taxi. Patong's nightlife is a short drive away for an evening out.
