At Karon Whale Resort Karon Beach, some rooms overlook the pool and others the garden, and the Suite Villa offers 60 m² with a whirlpool bathtub. Rooms can have air conditioning, a desk, a bathtub or shower with toiletries, a coffee or tea maker, a mini bar and a refrigerator, and some have a balcony or terrace.

The Standard room has a garden view and a bathtub, and the Superior Room comes with air conditioning and a mini bar. The Deluxe Pool Access room has a private bathroom and pool access. Free bottled water is provided in the rooms, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms.

Kata Beach, 2.7 km away, is a neighbouring beach reached along the coast road, and Patong Beach, 4.1 km away, is the best-known resort beach on the island, with a lively nightlife. Big Buddha Phuket, a large seated Buddha statue on a hilltop, is 3.2 km away, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of Phuket's most revered temples, is 4.6 km away. Nai Harn Beach, a further bay in the south of the island, can be visited for a day on the sand, and Bangla Road in Patong is known for its bars and nightlife.

Phuket International Airport is the nearest airport, and the trip from there to Karon is by road. A good day starts on the sand at Karon, continues to the Big Buddha and the temple at Chalong, and ends at the Karon Night Market with its street stalls and everyday goods.
