Karon Phunaka Resort

The rooms at Karon Phunaka Resort include superior and deluxe rooms, family rooms and a two-bedroom suite of 108 m² that sleeps up to six guests. Several rooms have a sea or ocean view, and most of them have a private bathroom with a bathtub, bathrobes and a hair dryer.

Karon is a beach area on the island of Phuket, between Kata Beach and Patong Beach, with a mix of hotels, shops and small restaurants along the streets near the sand. The beach is a short walk from the resort, and the area is quieter than Patong, without the nightlife.

Several temples and sights are close to the resort. Wat Suwan Khiri Khet is 150 m away, a Buddhist temple in the neighbourhood, and the Karon Night Market, 350 m away, sets up local goods and food stalls in the evening. Karon View Point, 600 m away, is a lookout point nearby, and the Big Buddha Phuket, 3 km away, is a large seated statue on a hill. Phuket International Airport is 29 km away, and getting around the island is by road, by car or by taxi, and the resort's airport transfer covers the trip from the airport.

A good day out combines a morning on Karon Beach with the Big Buddha in the afternoon, followed by an evening at the night market before returning to the resort. Kata Beach is also a short drive away, so beach days can easily be spread across both bays, and the night market is an easy evening stop near the resort.
