JR Siam Kata Resort

Rooms at JR Siam Kata Resort include doubles, twin rooms and family rooms, and one family room sleeps up to nine guests. Several rooms have a pool view, and one family room has a balcony. Karon Beach is a long stretch of sand next to Kata, and the two beaches are often the first choice for guests who want to spend the day by the sea.

Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hill about 1.3 km away, is one of the island's best-known sights, with wide views over the surrounding hills. Chaithararam Temple, usually called Wat Chalong, is 4.5 km away and is one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples. Nai Harn Beach, a wide sandy bay, is also worth a visit for a day out.

A day here can combine a swim at Kata or Karon with a visit to the Big Buddha and the temple at Chalong, followed by an evening at the Kata Night Market. Patong Beach, one of the island's liveliest beaches with its bars and nightlife, is 6.8 km away, and Phuket FantaSea, a cultural theme park with an evening show, is 14.7 km away.
