Joon Hostel

Joon Hostel has dormitory rooms, and free Wi-Fi is available in all of them. One is an eight-bed mixed dormitory of 55 m², with bunk beds, air conditioning, a city view and a balcony/terrace. Further rooms sleep up to two or three guests, and one of them has eight single beds.

The mixed dormitory has a shared bathroom with a shower, a mirror and toiletries, along with a dining table, outdoor furniture and a laptop workspace. Rooms can have towels, linens, a seating area, a sofa and a clothes rack, and the rooms can also have air conditioning.

Joon Hostel has a 24-hour front desk, express and private check-in and check-out, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes. Daily housekeeping, a laundromat and a convenience store are on the property, and there is a shared lounge and TV area.

Guests can eat at the restaurants, the bar or the coffee shop, and a halal restaurant is on site too. Alcohol and a happy hour are also available at the hostel, and shops are on site as well.

Free parking nearby is available, and free Wi-Fi covers the rooms and the public areas. Meeting and banquet facilities, on-site event hosting, a terrace and a laptop workspace are also part of the hostel.

Joon Hostel sits on the road that links Chaweng and Choengmon, a coastal part of Koh Samui where local shops, small restaurants and holiday accommodation line the streets. From here, the island's beaches and temples are reached by road, and getting around Koh Samui is usually by taxi, songthaew or scooter. The road is lined with local shops and holiday accommodation, and it is a convenient place to base yourself for the day's outings.

Samui Airport is 2.5 km from the hostel, so the airport is close for arrivals and departures. Choeng Mon Beach is 1.8 km away, and Chaweng Yai Beach, at 4.2 km, is one of the island's best-known stretches of sand. Wat Plai Laem is a temple with a large Guanyin statue close by, and the Big Buddha is a large seated statue on a headland near Bophut.

A full day could start with Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha, then continue to Fisherman's Village, 5.4 km away, for its shops and restaurants in Bophut. Na Muang Waterfall, further inland, makes a different kind of outing from the beaches. Several of these sights are within a short drive of each other, so a scooter or taxi makes it easy to see more than one in a day.
